Keith Roland, recruiter, serves on the Greenleaf client team that provides a range of institutional support services to USAID’s Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (BHA). He supports BHA divisions with the recruitment and hiring of humanitarian experts to serve in the field and at the Washington, D.C. headquarters.
Previously, Keith served for several years as lead buyer for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services in Lincoln, Neb. His numerous responsibilities included development of a range of competitive procurement documents; negotiating final contractual terms, payment structures, and scopes of work; and contract management. Keith also led teams comprised of subject matter experts through complex procurement projects, incorporating standards set forth by the Program Management Institute.
He also served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Lesotho, Africa. His range of responsibilities included educating over 200 African students in essential English language and math skills, training teachers on basic computer skills, and organizing programs and workshops to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS prevention and care.
Keith is a certified associate in Project Management (CAPM) through the Project Management Institute. He holds a Master of Arts degree in political science from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in Lincoln, Neb., and a Bachelor of Arts degree in international affairs and German from Doane College in Crete, Neb.
