Luis Diaz Laabes, instructional design specialist, is part of Greenleaf’s team that serves USAID’s Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) training unit. He’s responsible for collaborating with colleagues to design, develop, and deliver materials for BHA employees’ online and in-person learning experiences.

Previously, Luis worked as a vice consul at the United States Consulate General in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. He was also formerly a Spanish language and culture teacher for the Foreign Service Institute as well as at a local high school.  

Luis earned both his Master of Arts in translation and his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish education from the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
