Michael Barber is Senior Organizational Development Consultant at Greenleaf. He is part of Greenleaf’s team that serves the Department of Education’s Office of Post-Secondary Education. In that capacity, Michael supports the client’s teams with organization development, strategic planning, team building, training, and retreat facilitation services.
Prior to joining Greenleaf, Michael spent over a dozen years as an organizational development and training consultant, first with TATC Consulting in McLean, VA for seven years, followed by six years working independently. He gained rich and diverse experience working with a range of federal, state and local, and non-profit clients. Just a few of these include the Departments of Justice, Labor, Education, Health and Human Services, and Homeland Security as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the International Monetary Fund, the National Institutes of Health, the Center for Disease Control, and the National Association of Social Workers.
Michael’s career also includes organizational development and training positions at Razorsight Corporation, Nextel Communications, Net2000 Communications, and Alliant/Atlantic Foodservice, all in the Washington, D.C. area.
Michael earned his Master of Science degree in organization development from American University in Washington, D.C., and his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va.
